For this challenge, I was sent a piece of jewlery handcrafted by Jeannie to take apart and redo. Taking things apart that someone handmade kind of kills me a little bit, but I accepted the challenge. Here is the necklace I was sent. The focal was handmade by Jeannie.
Alright. Not gonna lie. I totally mismanaged my time on this one. I just moved, so my studio is still in boxes. That being said, I have completed a piece. It's not as awe inspiring as I wanted it to be, but I still quite enjoy it. Please excuse the fact that the background is terrible, but it's 3am right now, and there is no light outside this rainy, Georgia sky. We were instructed to use 60 percent of the original materials. Hopefully mine counts as 60%. I used all of the little blue glass beads, and I used the beautiful focal. I added quartz dangles and a brass chain accented with the blue beads that I wrapped in copper wire. The clasp connects to the focal, and I handmade the clasp out of copper wire. I hope you like it!
