Aren't these photos incredible? They are the inspiration for Earrings Everyday's March We're All Ears Challenge. I'm a little late to the game on uploading what I made. I made three pairs of earrings with this inspiration. I'm hoping to upload them all to my shop later. I am so behind on uploading things there.
This first pair I have two pictures of. I loved the picture in the flowers of the tree, but I'm actually super allergic to pollen which I then realized was all over me... so I had to stop taking pictures in the flowers.
This pair is made with spotted acrylic circles (I think), nut beads, and freshwater pearls. The copper earwires were all made by me.
This pair is my favorite. The metal pieces were a broken pair of vintage earrings that I hammered out. They're accented with sparkling czech glass crystals with kyanite sticks hanging from the bottom. They are hand-wrapped in copper wire with copper earwires and jumprings that I made.
This last pair was a challenge to make. Sunstone is very brittle. These are kyanite wrapped in sunstone beads and copper wire. I love how it looks when I've seen other jewelry artists wrap the earwires with a bead, so I tried the technique. I love how it looks. It was quite difficult to wrap though. I'm sure with some practice, I'll have an easier time.
It was a challenging inspiration at first because I was worried I wouldn't be able to do the photos justice, but I'm really happy with what I made!
